Equation Detective – Medium

Work in layers: direct → elimination → relationship → backfill.

Layer 1: place all definite positives.

Layer 2: apply elimination rules (one-in-each row/column).

Layer 3: translate the “maths” clues:
more/less = difference, twice/half = multiplication, total = addition.

Layer 4: when a category is nearly complete, backfill the last remaining option automatically.

Pro tip: don’t “solve prices” separately — place them in the grid as soon as they’re known so they can trigger more eliminations.
